My Mind's Made Up, I'm Outta Luck

Yesterday, Michel and I came to the conclusion that the absolute cutest thing that a couple can do is cook something together. I have some stale pizza waiting to be nuked.

I didn't get the chance to sleep in today, as I had to go to my first period msip class and read as much of The Handmaid's Tale as I possibly could. Which is what I should be doing right now. It has to be finished for third period on Thursday, and I think I'll be able to make it.

I also have a chimney sweep costume to assemble for Thursday for a presentation in History class.

The audio quality is lacking to say the least, but fuck do I ever love this song.

Please, No Sex in the Trenches

I had an especially great Monday. Not only did I sleep in, I didn't go to my last two classes, as I went to see Passchendaele with my History class instead.
I went into the movie with pretty low expectations. Despite the fact that it stars Paul Gross (we'll discuss him later), the movie has been plagued with relatively negative reviews and little publicity. I'm also not much of a 'war movie person'. Hell, I've never even seen Saving Private Ryan.
All things considered, I was impressed. The movie was solid in almost every way- it was well edited, acted and shot. In fact, Passchendaele's best feature was it's cinematography. The most was made of rural Alberta's landscape, and the greys of Passchendaele were never redundant.
While the storyline was not always captivating, and the ending a tad disappointing, it was still interesting enough to hold everyone's attention for two hours. I have absolutely no idea why the most common complaint about the movie was it's length; the last thing I would label this movie as is "too long".

And my god, Paul Gross. Really, I would pay to watch this man read the phone book.

Back At It

So I'm back here. I feel like I now have the time to blog, and maybe even something to blog about.

The past month and a half has been... solid, I guess. I've gone to a few shows at Trepid, seen a few movies, the usual. Midterms were absolute hell, and my marks aren't where they should be. I have to fix that.

The reason why I thought about blogging again is because of a dream I had last night. I rarely, if ever, remember my dreams, but I can recall this one pretty vividly. I'm not going to get into specifics, because that's not necessary nor is it interesting. Basically, I had a conversation with someone that I used to be involved with. It was strange to hear his side of the story, especially since I've been wanting to have that conversation with him for quite a while.

Also, he looked pretty fat. What's with that?
