Long Weekend

My neck hurts from all of the dancing I've been doing, and my work clothes smell from of all the working I've been doing.

Why-Emm-See-Ehh

It seems that all I ever do on this thing is recap my day-to-day living, so why stop now?

Yesterday, Anna and I ventured over to Queen of Hearts Costumes and I finally bought what is perched atop my head as I type, a Native headdress! Unfortunately, the Devo costume doesn't look like it's going to work out, so this Native headdress is my main squeeze on Halloween.
Last night I went out on a little date with Michel, and we saw Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist. I liked the movie, as it definitely delivered on the 'cute' front. It's been a while since I've seen a movie in which I didn't mind leaving to go to the bathroom/buy snacks, which is indicative of the content, I think. I'd give it a 7/10.

Today seemed like a flashback to a year ago, as I slept in and walked home from school, which are two things that I made a habit of last year. Actually, this whole season feels like a flashback. On one hand, it's a good thing, as last fall was memorable to say the least, but on the other hand, it's not really fair to constantly compare the present and the past. I feel like I should be more focused on the present and, of course, the future.

Anyway, there's a Ryerson seminar at school tomorrow, and the nerd within me is squirming in their seat.

Oh, and I found a really neat bench/record storage space combo in my basement, and I've already claimed it as mine. I hope to take it with me when I move out. Hurrah!

It's All Autumn

Sitting here, having just devoured two plates of Shepherd's Pie, with an apple pie waiting in the kitchen, I can't help but be excited for Autumn.
It seems pointless to go on about why I love this season, so instead I'll just list some of my October resolutions.
1. Carve at least two pumpkins. Last year I didn't carve any. What's with that?!
2. Jump in a few piles of leaves, preferably with Anna.
3. Get my paws on a DEVO energy dome hat and a Native Indian headdress, and have a memorable Halloween. Complete with Rocky Horror Picture Show.
4. Buy a ticket for Shout Out Out Out Out, and dance my ass off.
5. Finish three rolls of film.
6. Continue to look for colourful kitchen wear/furnishings.
7. Find a great pair of mens Oxfords and riding boots.
I'm sure I'll think of a few more.

No Bananas

It's been almost a week since I have had the time or energy to post here. Ridiculous! I've spent most of the past week either at school, at work, filming, or sitting in front of my computer writing as many essays as I could pump out.
And yes, you read that right, we actually started filming! We were initially going to shoot at City Cafe, but they close at 6, so we had to trek over to Matter of Taste. We were supposed to film today as well, but I think those plans have fallen apart. Ah well, maybe tomorrow?
Yesterday I finally caved in, and bought three more coffee mugs which will one day sit in my own apartment! I'm slowly building a collection of furnishings to bring with me to Toronto/Vancouver/wherever I end up. Colourful kitchenware is a must!
Speaking of moving out, I finally downloaded Google Earth! I figure it can be both a cool time waster and a way to kind of check out the area around VFS. Hurrah!
Last night was the last party in Kylie's basement...ever. The end of an era!

Today, I'm taking the day off, catching up on things like blogging. I'm off to go make myself a cup of tea!
